- Ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane has backed his old club to re-discover top form
- Mane left Liverpool to join Bayern Munich in June 2022 but still follows the club
- The Senegalese star believes Reds boss Jurgen Klopp can turn things around
Former Reds attacker Sadio Mane has no doubts that Liverpool will bounce back from their season of struggles so far and remains 'convinced' they will overcome their current situation.
Mane's summer departure for Bayern Munich marked the start of Liverpool's problems, with last season's Champions League finalists 7th in the Premier League standings and virtually eliminated from Europe's top competition after Real Madrid's 2-5 first-leg hammering.
The Senegalese star has been a keen observer of his former club that he clinched every piece of silverware available at and told Bild that he remains positive about Liverpool's future under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
'Liverpool will be back,' said Mane.
'I'm convinced they will overcome this situation. They had many injuries and tough tests, but Jurgen Klopp is definitely the right man.

Liverpool have struggled this season having exited the Carabao and FA Cup and on the verge of a Champions League exit
Bayern Munich winger Mane admitted he is 'convinced' Liverpool's form is only a blip
'He will lead Liverpool back up, from this season - the players love him,' he added.
Klopp has come under the biggest pressure of his managerial campaign since originally taking over the English giants in 2015.
The German has lifted the Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and ended the club's quest for a Premier League title, but has struggled to get his team firing this season.
Meanwhile, Mane has adjusted well to life in Klopp's homeland and is hoping to re-discover the form that made him one of the world's best during his time at Liverpool.
The 30-year-old pace-merchant has scored just six goals since swapping Anfield for the Allianz but has only recently returned from a knee injury that previously dashed his hopes of representing his nation at the Qatar World Cup.
Klopp has begun to turn things around this season but has endured a torrid current campaign
He made his comeback in Bayern's 3-0 win over Union Berlin at the weekend as the reigning Bundesliga champions kept their place at the top of the German top-flight.
Some Liverpool supporters believe Mane's exit has contributed to inconsistencies this season, with Mohammed Salah failing to build the same type of relationship with Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo as he had with the former Red.
Klopp appears to have finally managed to get Liverpool heading in the right direction this season after taking seven from a possible nine points from their last three Premier League outings.
However, a nine point gap to fourth place Spurs is a large gap to make up if Liverpool are to sneak into the Champions League places for next season.
