Tomorrow she'll be dressed to impress as she hosts the Earthshot Prize Awards alongside Prince William in Singapore in the latest example of her ever-growing stardom.

But actress Hannah Waddingham opted for more comfortable clothing as she was spotted getting into her new Maserati – thought to be worth £100,000.

She rose to the status of 'national treasure' with her memorable performance co-hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool in May.

And work has been rolling in for Ms Waddingham, 49, with the star fronting two major seasonal advertising campaigns for M&S and Baileys, leading her to be dubbed the 'queen of Christmas'.

The actress, who starred in acclaimed Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, was seen whipping around south-west London in her new vehicle, which retails for the six-figure sum. The Maserati purchase comes as Ms Waddingham's company HK Waddingham Ltd is shown to have 'current assets' of nearly £1.5million.

The star, who reportedly made about £101,000 ($125,000) per episode on the third season of Ted Lasso, has also starred in Game Of Thrones, Sex Education and Benidorm, as well as front a festive music show Hannah Waddingham: Home For Christmas.

Next summer, she will star in the new Mission: Impossible film alongside Tom Cruise.

On the cusp of becoming a household name in the UK, the 'overnight success' she has experienced has actually been 20 years in the making.

Ms Waddingham, alongside her Hollywood career, boasts two decades on the West End and Broadway stage as well as three Olivier nominations for playing the Lady of the Lake in Monty Python's Spamalot and roles in A Little Night Music.

The mother-of-one, who is also set to star in a big budget thriller with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt next year, is said to be a fan favourite because she doesn't look or act like a 'typical' actress. She told Glamour magazine in May: 'I am, and will always be, very proud not to be a skinny Minnie.

'It's just not how I'm built. And I'm a mother, so I'm not a big gym bunny. Women need to celebrate women as much as possible, which is why I always say, 'Yep… I'm more than happy to say I wear Spanx on a red carpet'.'
