Pre-season often provides youngsters with a chance to impress in the first-team and that has certainly been the case this summer.
With a host of stars having missed large parts of pre-season due to involvement at the Euros and Copa America, some excellent prospects have seized their chances.
It will be intriguing to see whether the youngsters will be able to command playing time when the real action gets underway.

Oscar Bobb - Manchester City
Bobb was already part of City's squad last season and scored an important late winner away to Newcastle during their title-winning campaign.
Now, the 21-year-old is eager to fully establish himself in Pep Guardiola's team and his performances during pre-season have certainly helped his cause.
Bobb found the net against Celtic and Chelsea, while he set up Bernardo Silva's late equaliser against Manchester United in the Community Shield.
The Norway international is very direct in his approach, with his trickery often causing problems for opponents.
Given City's array of stars, Bobb faces a fight to start regularly, but he will be determined to feature prominently.

Ethan Nwaneri - Arsenal
Nwaneri was catapulted into the limelight in September 2022 when, aged just 15 years and 181 days, he became the youngest player ever to feature in the Premier League after he came on as a substitute against Brentford.
Since then Nwaneri has made just one further competitive senior appearance, which came off the bench against West Ham last season.
Now, though, it seems as if Nwaneri will be afforded the opportunity to compete for more regular minutes after he impressed during pre-season.
The 17-year-old produced some superb displays during pre-season, which included a fantastic assist against Manchester United, and he looks completely at home in a first-team environment.
With his excellent passing and dribbling, Nwaneri perfectly suits how Mikel Arteta wants his team to play.

Trey Nyoni - Liverpool
Exciting England youth international Nyoni made his senior debut for Liverpool against Southampton in the FA Cup last season, becoming the youngest ever player to feature in that competition for the Reds.
The 17-year-old midfielder, who was previously at Leicester's academy, has continued to make an impact during pre-season under the guidance of new manager Arne Slot.
Nyoni scored in the 4-1 friendly win against Sevilla at Anfield, which has increased the calls for him to get more first-team minutes.
Slot has urged caution, suggesting that the youngster still needs to develop physically.
However, Nyoni's ability is undeniable and he will be determined to take any chances that he is afforded.

Mikey Moore - Tottenham
Moore made two Premier League appearances for Tottenham at the end of last season when he was just 16 years old. A player with vast potential, he can operate as a forward, a winger or a midfielder.
The starlet boasts a hugely impressive record of 17 goals in 22 games for Tottenham Under-18s, while he has netted ten goals in 12 appearances for England Under-17s.
Moore has now signed his first professional contract with Tottenham and impressed for Ange Postecoglou's side during pre-season.
Having scored against Hearts and Vissel Kobe, Moore has now put himself in contention for further first-team minutes for Tottenham.
In addition to his goalscoring exploits, Moore's link-up play is also of a very high standard.

Toby Collyer - Manchester United
A midfielder who joined Manchester United's academy from Brighton in 2022, Collyer is a very highly rated prospect.
Collyer capped off an encouraging pre-season by making his competitive debut for United when he featured as a substitute against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
United boss Erik ten Hag was present when Collyer signed a new contract with the club last month, which provided an indication of how highly the Dutchman regards the youngster.
Collyer plays with much confidence and will be aiming to gain an much experience this season as possible.
United's midfield has often been criticised in recent years but Collyer may well be able to offer something different.

Jamie Miley - Newcastle
His younger brother Lewis has already gained plenty of experience at senior level for Newcastle and now Jamie Miley will be looking to do likewise.
Jamie provided assists during friendlies against Hull City and Urawa Red Diamonds as he provided an indication of his ability.
The 20-year-old is mainly a midfielder but has also shown that he can fill in at right-back.
There have been suggestions that Miley could go out on loan before the closure of the transfer window.
However, he will be eager to take any chances that he is afforded at Newcastle.

Harrison Armstrong - Everton
A 17-year-old midfielder who looks set for a bright future, Armstrong has impressed for Everton during pre-season.
The youngster has already stepped up to make an impact for Everton at Under-21 level and he is now determined to do the same on the senior stage.

Armstrong scored for the senior side against Motherwell in a behind-closed-doors fixture.
He subsequently featured against Roma at Goodison Park and will be aiming to make further appearances during the final season at the famous stadium.
