Mail Sport's SIMON JONES... 'Dominic Calvert Lewin looks set to remain at Everton until January. 'At one stage, Chelsea and Everton were discussing a potential deal that would have seen defender Wesley Fofana head to Goodison with Calvert-Lewin going the opposite direction. 'Enzo Maresca is an admirer of Calvert-Lewin as he would fit into the system he likes. However, the Fofana to Everton element of the equation never got off the ground. 'Everton were open to a deal involving Armando Broja but his Achilles injury put paid to that proposal. 'Everton have valued Calvert-Lewin at £30million and that has proved too high for suitors especially as the England international only had one year left on contract. They have also been struggling to find a suitable replacement. 'Clubs, including Chelsea, are now looking at the 27-year old as a potential January pre contract deal or as one to sign on a free next summer. 'Manchester United were also monitoring Calvert-Lewin but decided not to sign a striker and go with Rasmus Hojlund as the only out and out number nine.'
