The Spain international sees his future in Catalonia, despite being targeted by several sides

The midfielder, who reportedly sees his future in Catalonia, has a relatively low release clause at €50million (£41.7 million), and with Barca needing the funds, they may have no option but to cash in on their star playmaker.

Ferran Torres’ pending registration at the Nou Camp is currently on hold, given the cash-stapped Catalans have a lack of space on their wage bill, despite Phillipe Coutinho joining Aston Villa.

Gavi's potential exit and Coutinho's departure could trigger the necessary space for Torres to become an active squad member.

The addition of Gavi could potentially seen as a linch pin to the future plans of the German.
