James Maddison will miss Leicester's Premier League clash against Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed, with the midfielder set to see a specialist in London over a new knee injury concern.
The Foxes star limped off with a hamstring injury against West Ham in November and was rushed back ahead of England's World Cup campaign a week later.
Despite jetting to Qatar with the Three Lions, Maddison did not register a single minute at the tournament and returned to the King Power ready to continue his fruitful season so far in the Premier League.

He picked up an injury against West Ham last month and now has a fresh problem with his knee
But Rodgers has now revealed that Maddison picked up yet another injury ahead of Leicester's trip to Anfield on Friday and will now be without the in-form playmaker.
The 26-year-old has travelled to London with the club doctor in search of 'specialist advice' regarding his knee problem.
'He won't be available for the game,' Rodgers said. 'He was with Mark (Waller) our doctor, getting some special advice in London today, so I'll wait to hear from them a little bit later on. He won't be available for the game.

Despite recovering in time to join England in Qatar, Maddison failed to register a single minute
'He was clearly getting treatment when he was out there (in Qatar) and then the medical team deemed him okay to train.
'So he has trained and been available for games. He's come back here, looking to do some work and then he felt some pain in a different part of his knee.
'So the medical team have assessed that, looked at that. He was trying to go out on to the field and do some more multi-directional work and he's getting a pain from it.

The England star also travelled to London to watch the World Darts Championships last Friday
'So we're going down to London today to see the specialist and and get another opinion on it to see what's up. And that's what we're up to, the latest.'
Maddison scored seven goals from midfield and provided four assists in all competitions ahead of his injury against West Ham last month.
He watched on from the stands as his side were thrashed 3-0 by Newcastle at the King Power on Boxing Day.
Leicester sit 13th in the league on 17 points ahead of their trip to Anfield.
