Jurgen Klopp has doubled down on Liverpool's stance that Mo Salah is not for sale at any price amid continued and growing interest from Saudi Arabia club Al-Ittihad, who could offer the Egyptian an eye-watering wage to join them.

But the Reds boss has admitted it's 'not cool' the Saudi transfer window extends beyond the Premier League's and called on FIFA to bring the deadlines into line.

Klopp will be relieved when the English transfer window slams shut in six days after already losing captain Jordan Henderson and key defensive midfielder Fabinho to Saudi Arabia - but will face an anxious week as the Gulf state clubs can still sign players for another seven days.

Saudi clubs, such as Al-Ittihad who are said to be prepared to pay £100million for Salah, can still sign players for a week after the English window shuts on September 1.

And Klopp said: 'I understand that it is not cool for us (Saudi Arabia). That is how it is.

Jurgen Klopp has insisted Liverpool haven't received any bids for star player Mohamed Salah

Salah is reportedly being targeted by Al-Ittihad with the Saudi side convinced the player wants to join them

Reports suggest that Al-Ittihad have already met with the player's entourage in Dubai to discuss a move

'If we want a player from Wigan, I go there and they tell us the price and we probably pay it. The Bundesliga is like that if Bayern comes or Dortmund then Bielefeld or Mainz cannot react but there is a next level and it is not great.

'This is part of the business but what makes it from a specific moment makes it not possible to deal with is our transfer window closes and theirs stays open so how can we react? From that moment we play until the first of January and this is our squad.

'That is what everyone is used to. We had it in the past with Russia, they had a different transfer window but that was not completely crazy money. It is new, challenging for everybody and we have to learn to deal with it.

'But the authorities should make clear that if you want to be part of the system then you do your business at the same time. I am pretty sure FIFA could do it like this if they want to.'

Klopp has eased fears of Liverpool fans and said the star player, who is on £350,000 a week at Anfield, is not for sale.

'It is a bit difficult to talk about media stories because there is nothing to talk about, we don't have an offer,' said the manager.

The Saudi side are managed by former Wolves and Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo

'Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and essential for everything we do. If there would be something the answer would be no.

'My life philosophy is I think about a problem when I have it and there is absolutely nothing at the moment.

'If there is something coming up that I don't know then I can think about it.'

Asked if Salah was committed to Anfield, Klopp replied: '100 per cent.'
