The WAGs supporting Premier League managers: Glamour model Lucy Pinder has gone public with Russell Martin while Mirjam Slot is the rock for Liverpool boss Arne - and Pep Guardiola is smitten with fashion icon!

The Premier League will finally return next weekend, bringing fresh hope, optimism and dreams for fans of the clubs in the most popular league in the world.

Manchester City will look to defend their title once again - though Arsenal will do their best to stop that after recruiting well so far in the summer transfer window - and other sides will have one eye on pushing them close.

The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton will all go into the season with new managers, making it somewhat hard to know what to expect, but hopes nonetheless remain high for a successful season.

After a summer of rest, recouperation and preparation, those managers and those who remain will now be doing their final preparations to get their teams ready to go ahead of opening weekend.

Andoni Iraola - Unknown

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has in the past revealed that neither his wife nor his two children are football fans.

Last year, in what was his first at the Cherries, the Spaniard revealed he would have a lonely Christmas, saying he had to leave it 'to one side and focus on football'. He added: 'My wife and kids have gone off to be with the families at Christmas because it doesn't make sense for them to be here.'

This off-season, meanwhile, he said: 'Most of the summer will be here in beautiful Bournemouth.' A man very committed to his job.

So committed in fact that his wife's name has not been made public.

Mikel Arteta - Lorena Bernal

Lorena Bernal is a celebrity in her own right, working as an actress, television host and model.

Born in Argentina, the 43-year-old moved to Spain when she was just one, going onto meet Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta years ago before they had their first child in 2009.

She has worked as a model since she was just seven, and was crowned Miss Spain in 1999 at the age of 17. She was banned from entering Miss Universe the same year due to her age, instead entering Miss World and finishing in the top 10.

Her acting career's highlight was working on American TV show Chuck as an international arms dealer, while she also featured in CSI: Miami. 

Altogether, Bernal and Arteta have three children, and are happily settled in their north London pad while Arteta tries to win the Gunners their first Premier League title since 2004. 

Unai Emery - Unknown

Since reportedly splitting from wife Luisa Fernandez a few years ago, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has seemingly been involved in a number of love affairs.

He married Luisa in 1998, with the couple meeting several decades ago when Luisa was working in Madrid. They married in a private ceremony in the city on the back of being introduced by mutual friends, and they have a son, Lander Emery Fernandez, who is 21 and plays for Villa's youth team.

According to reports, however, the duo have now split, with Emery dating since the break-up. In 2020, The Sun claimed that Emery branded UK-based businesswoman Sache Wright a 'white witch' and blamed her for his Arsenal sacking.

It was also reported that Emery, now 52, was dating Spanish bar owner Lucila Vila Segui at the same time, and continued their relationship after breaking up with Wright.

It is unclear what his current relationship status is. 

Thomas Frank - Nanna Theil Frank

Little is known about the marriage between Brentford manager Thomas Frank and Nanna Thiel Frank. The couple keep a low profile, but they do have three children.

The family lived in Hvidovre, Denmark, until they moved to Lomndon in late 2016 when Thomas was appointed manger of Brentford.

Their life now seems to be relatively low-key, with Frank now the second-longest-serving manager in the Premier League despite links to the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool in recent times. 

Fabian Hurzeler - Unknown

At 31, Brighton's new manager Fabian Hurzeler is the youngest permanent boss in Premier League history and few know what to expect of his side this season.

His dating history and personal life is private. He is not thought to be married, but little is known on whether he has a partner away from the field.

He is one of the few managers who is still at an age where people generally get married and have children for the first time - so things could change soon for the German.

Enzo Maresca - Maria Jesus Pariente

Maria Jesus Pariente and new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca have four children together.

Maria and her friends took to the field at the King Power Stadium earlier this year when Enzo's Leicester side won the Championship, and she has regularly shared snaps of her family on social media.

According to Guillem Balague of BBC Sport, Maria and the children were happy to be staying in England after Enzo's stock rose on the back of his success in Leicester. They reportedly would have preferred to have stayed where they were after settling, but understood the size of the opportunity.

It had before been Manchester, Italy, and Leicester. Now it is London, but, going by the Chelsea owners' record of dismissing managers, it's unclear how long that may be for. 

Oliver Glasner - Bettina Glasner

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner married wife Bettina in 2007, with the couple having three children together, though, via The Sun, Julian, who is thought to be the oldest, is thought to be from a previous relationship.

Bettina has chosen to keep her life mostly private, but doesn't shy away from supporting her partner and was once seen by his side when he served a suspension as Frankfurt manager in 2023.

Eyes peeled, becuase it's possible she will pop up at Selhurt Park this season as Glasner takes charge of his first full season since taking over from Roy Hodgson last year. 

Sean Dyche - Jane Dyche

Sean Dyche is married to Jane, and the pair have two children together - one of who, Max, plays professional football for Northampton Town in League One.

While Burnley manager, Sean once took a picture of the press before a media conference to show Jane why he hadn't text her back.

But they enjoy a loving relationship, with Jane also being a coach - but in tennis rather than Sean's football.

Marco Silva - Unknown

As reported by The Athletic in 2021, those close to Fulham manager Marco Silva descibe his as a polite, private man.

There is very little public about Silva and his wife. But he is married, and has two daughters.

Silva has managed four teams in England, meaning his family are relatively settled in the country, and he rejected offers to move to Saudi Arabia last summer to stay in the country.

Kieran McKenna - Louise McKenna

Upon winning promotion to the Premier League as Ipswich manager, Kieran McKenna climbed the steps at Portman Road to give wife Louise and his two children a huge hug.

Having previously coached at Manchester United, the highly-rated Kieran lives in Ipswich with his family, though has no interest in the limelight.

'I don't have any interest in fame or external validation,' he told The Guardian after earning promotion to the Championship with Ipswich this time last year. 'My family, my close friends, my coaching staff, those are the important things and that won't change.

'When you come home from getting promoted against Exeter and your daughter wants donkey rides around the living room within two minutes, and then you're up at 6am watching cartoons, it keeps you grounded. You know where your reality is.'

Keep going the way he's going, and the family may be up and moved to one of Europe's top clubs in the very near future. 

Steve Cooper - Unknown

Steve Cooper is another manager who is somewhat new to the Premier League, but only by club. Having left Nottingham Forest last season, he will now replace Maresca at Leicester.

Cooper is married. When he was Swansea manager between 2019 and 2021, his wife and two children lived in Wrexham at the other end of the country. It is unclear if they followed him to England when he was appointed by Forest.

'I think if I’m going to be away from my family, I'm not here to socialise, I'm just here to work,' he said in an interview with The Athletic in 2020. Leicester is not far from Forest's City Ground - less than an hour by car - so there may be no relocation needed if they have moved by now.

A chance to settle again for Cooper - who has a great opportunity as Leicester boss - and his family, which, like with many of the Prem's managers, is kept mostly private.

Arne Slot - Mirjam Slot

This season is a big one for Dutchman Arne Slot, who makes the jump from Feyenoord to Liverpool as the Reds' new boss.

The 45-year-old faces the near-impossible challenge of replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, but will have the support of wife Mirjam to back him when times get tough.

The Slots have two children together in what is a mostly-private life, but that hasn't stopped Mirjam from joining Arne on the pitch a few times, including in the 2022 Conference League final defeat by Roma.

In the semis, the couple locked lips as Arne booked his side's place in the final two, before Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title a year later.

Like Klopp's wife Ullah, Mirjam will be of high popularity as she supports the man tasked with taking success to Liverpool. 

Pep Guardiola - Cristina Serra

Cristina Serra is a Brazilian journalist and writer whose family own a fashion store in Barcelona.

It was also the city where she met Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola when she was 18, when Guardiola, who is two years older, was playing for Barca and was modelling for designer Antonio Miro in Serra's shop.

They became friends, and that friendship eventually blossomed into a relationship that has spanned several decades, with the couple having three children.

Earlier this year, Pep revealed that his famous touchline style is picked out by Cristina, telling : 'My wife is the best in the world at many things, but especially in fashion. So she says normally to me, "Don't wear this or wear that", so I follow her.'

The pair only tied the knot in 2014 in what was a private ceremony, and have lived in the likes of Germany, Spain and England throughout Pep's management career.

Erik ten Hag - Bianca ten Hag

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and wife Bianca are rarely seen out together - though, when they are, they are often cycling.

In 2022 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the duo were greeted by fans as they cycled past a Dutch pancake house on a weekend off and Erik was all smiles as he posed for photos with fans.

It was the second time that weekend that they had been seen out on their bikes together, but they have rarely been snapped before or after, and little is known of their marriage.

Bianca has been the Dutchman's rock, however, as he has continuously come under pressure in his role as Red Devils boss. 

Eddie Howe - Vicki Howe

Now managing Newcastle, Eddie Howe's family home is in Dorset, a mere 363 miles away from St James' Park.

'Always, by my wife,' Howe once said in an interview when asked if he is ever accused of being there without being there for his family. He went onto say that he rarely switches off from work.

The family, which consists of the couple and three sons, had been looking for a home in the north east to avoid the commute, which Howe said he always found difficult.

'Saying goodbye I've always found very, very difficult,' he said in 2022 via The Independent. 'You know that you're not going to see them for a period of time and I want to be in their lives every day and I want to shape their lives as best I can.

'But I know it's for a short period of time and I know for me, I'm going on to something amazing, I'm managing Newcastle United and it's an incredible experience for me.'

Eddie began dating Vicki when he was playing for Bournemouth, with the couple still going strong now. 

Nuno Espirito Santo - Sandra Espirito Santo

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo is no stranger to the Premier League, having led both Wolves and Tottenham before taking over at the City Ground.

He is back in England with his wife, Sandra, and the couple also have three children.

Nuno and Sandra are another couple who keep their private lives just that, meaning little is known about their relationship, but they are reported to be happy back in England with the hope of settling again following a brief stint in Saudi Arabia.

Russell Martin - Lucy Pinder

Glamour model Lucy Pinder, 40, confirmed her relationship with Southampton boss Russell Martin, 38, earlier this month, taking to Instagram to share a loved-up snap with the former midfielder.

The pair were dressed up as Russell received an honorary degree from the University of Brighton, with Lucy by his side as the manager was recognised for his work to improve the lives of young people in Brighton & Hove.

According to The Sun, the couple have grown close in recent months and are completely smitten with each other.

They were also reportedly spotted at a Sky Sports function. Russell has reportedly been coming to terms with the end of his marriage to his wife Jasmine, who he shares three children with.

Lucy, who is a huge Southampton fan, has reportedly previously dated the likes of Chris Evans and Daniel Hooper.

With an estimated net worth of around £2.3million, she will now swap the likes of 'Nuts' and 'Pinder and Pearson's Late-Night Love-in' for St Mary's as part of the club rather than just a fan.

Ange Postecoglou - Georgia Postecoglou

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou first met wife Georgia in the 1990s at South Melbourne Soccer Club, where the Australian won two championships as a player.

In ABC documentary 'The Australian Story: The Age of Ange', Georgia said: 'He was the senior coach and I was marketing manager.

'Initially I wondered why everyone around him and around the club were so fascinated by and respected him, as he is not someone I would describe as charismatic or a charmer. I didn't get it. It was only afterwards I got to understand him as a person.'

Big Ange eventually won his now-partner round, and the couple married and now have three sons.

'I wouldn't be where I am today without Georgia,' Postegoclou once said. 'Without her by my side I don't know where I'd have ended up.'

Julen Lopetegui - Rosa Maqueda

New West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui will again move to England to take over at the Hammers this season having previously been in charge at Wolves.

The peak of his coaching career was when he led Real Madrid in 2018. It didn't quite go to plan, with the now-57-year-old lasting just over two months in charge, but he invited his family to the Bernabeu during his presentation as boss, including wife Rosa Maqueda.

The couple have three children together and will now settle in the English capital ahead of Julen's stint in charge of the Hammers. 

Gary O'Neil - Donna Guerin

Wolves boss Gary O'Neil married Donna Guerin in 2006, with the couple going onto have two daughters and a son.

The son, CJ, isn't yet a teenager, but has been an actor on TV series such as Grantchester, and could also follow in his father's footsteps - he is currently in AFC Wimbledon's academy having joined in 2023 at the age of nine.

The O'Neil family posed on social media when the youngster signed his deal, and Donna and Gary keep their marriage strong with regular trips out together - including to Royal Ascot a little over six weeks ago.
