Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the season-long loan signing of Tommy Doyle from Manchester City, with an an option of a £4.3m permanent move
The midfielder spent last season on-loan at Sheffield United, where he made 38 appearances and scored four goals as he helped the club win promotion to the Premier League and reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup - as well as winning the club's Goal of the Season award for his strike against Blackburn.
He was also part of the England Under-21 side that won European Under-21 Championship earlier this summer.
Doyle has enjoyed loan spells at German side Hamburg and Cardiff City, and captained City's academy teams
After parading the new signing at Molineux Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs said: 'I've talked before about players coming here with the hunger to kick on again, and Tommy is another one of those.

Manchester City have put in a 50% sell in clause in any deal that is made permanent for the 21-year-old.
It's been a busy day of negotiations between the two clubs, with City earlier agreeing the £53m deal for Wolves' wantaway midfielder Mathues Nunes.
