Follow Mail Sport's live blog for the latest score, team news and updates as Everton host Tottenham at Goodison Park in Premier League action.

Every squad needs one!

Needless to say, Postecoglou is far from concerned by a little on-pitch - and off - taunting.

You can read the full report on his press conference before the match below.

Ange Postecoglou praises his squad's character

The sheer character and spirit of the team has overshadowed the challenges we've had.

It's a credit to the lads to just battle through that. We're getting some people back, so hopefully we can (push through) till the end of the season.

On Son Heung-min's Asian Cup journey:

I know what it will mean to him and his nation if (they reach the final of the tournament) so I'm happy for him if he goes on and wins it.

An unhappy legacy of late

This fixture's recent history may not give the hosts the greatest confidence. Far from being a fortress, it's been a staggering 11 years since they've beat Tottenham at home.

That last league win came in December 2012, when the hosts left it late to score two injury-time goals and send the visitors back to London with nowt.

Sean Dyche on the transfer window and his size 0 squad

There wasn't much in (rumours). There was a lot of talk about nothing. We were pretty confident about that. We're working with a skinny squad and we are stretched so it was important to keep players.

It's been a tough run on paper physically with the injuries we've had. The mentality is certainly there, we've looked strong defensively and we need to add to that by attacking better and having a more clinical edge.

TEAM NEWS - in brief

For Everton, Gueye comes back into the side after returning from AFCON - his Senegal side were almost improbably knocked out by Ivory Coast on penalties. He replaces the injured Danjuma.

Spurs plump for two changes after midweek action, with Hojbjerg rewarded for his loyalty with a rare start. He comes in for Skipp, and Johnson replaces Kulusevski.

Richarlison gets to make his first start at Goodison Park since booking his move away.

Ally McCoist makes an interesting point...

Revelling in the faded grandeur of Goodison Park - soon to be replaced by Everton's blockbuster new stadium at Bramley-Moore Docks - the pundit claims that part of the reason why the ground has a soft spot in his heart is that it 'smells of football'.

Surely that means more than the swish of fresh cut grass and tightly pumped leather balls. But is it burger grease? A caustic huff of a flare? A whiff of dirty money paying for an overrated striker?

Breaking: TEAM NEWS - How Everton and Tottenham line up

Darts-gate rolls on!

James Maddison is strolling across the pitch on TNT Sports, and explains that little celebration spat with Neal Maupay from midweek.

That's just a bit of me, that. Probably not as much of that in the game as there used to be.

Just a bit of fun, isn't it, just a bit of needle!

Comment from Maupay to come, then?

Everton fans getting their point across early

... with an ambush of TNT Sports' early coverage.

As if being under siege from the Premier League wasn't bad enough, Everton has to contend with a drawn-out, knotty takeover. After agreeing a deal with 777 Partners in September, Farhad Moshiri is still the top dog at Goodison Park.

But that hasn't stopped the American private equity from propping up the club.

Matt Hughes has more here.

How did both sides fare in the January window?

Needless to say, Everton wasn't the most fancied destination - nor were the club able to splash the cash to potentially reverse their fortunes.

But the manager's threadbare squad lost another member with the departure of Mason Holgate on loan to Sheffield United. Academy graduates Sean McAllister and Elijah Campbell were also sent on loan, woth Ryan Astley sold to Dundee.

Tottenham had a much sparkier time of it, bringing in Timo Werner, Radu Dragusin, and - in an audacious late swoop - talented Swedish teen Lucas Bergvall - as well as recalling Dane Scarlett.

They also sent out a punchy 10 players on loan - some never to return. The only permanent departure at this stage was Hugo Lloris, to Los Angeles FC.

No shortage of grit on Merseyside

Just as Dyche's players looked to have got their head around one challenge, there could be yet another rolling into town.

Everton currently sit in the relegation zone, one point from freedom. Where they end up on the last day of the season is at this moment in time literally anyone's guess. Hardly the most motivating idea for the Toffees.

But Dyche has been getting his players fired up, and he shared the group mindset in his programme notes today.

Last time out in the Richarlison derby

Sean Dyche's side had a torrid time down south courtesy of an early strike from their former player, and a goal from Son Heung-min to put the home side out of sight.

But that's not to say Everton rolled over - Spurs clung onto those three points with all of their might.

You can read Matt Barlow's report in full below.

Good morning!

Hello and welcome to Mail Sport's live coverage of this Premier League weekend's first kick-off, as Tottenham travel north to Goodison Park to face Everton.

This could be a barnstormer - fired up from midweek action, Spurs can go level with Arsenal and Man City with all three points. And Everton have just as much incentive to lively up recent form with one eye on a potential second points deduction hovering over them.

Kick-off is in just over an hour and a half, but stick around as we bring you team news and more ahead of 12.30pm.
