Nadia Jemez, daughter of former LaLiga manager Paco Jemez, revealed this week that her father prohibited romantic relationships with footballers. 

The 24-year-old model has grown up around football for much of her life after her dad enjoyed a 17-year playing career in Spain and picked up 21 caps for his country before going on to manage 12 clubs.

But any hopes of finding a mate within the game were strictly forbidden. Jemez did not disclose the reasoning for her father's commandment but it's not hard to come up with one or two theories. 

Perhaps the likes of Luis Enrique, Pep Guardiola and Steve Bruce gave their daughters similar instructions but, unlike Jemez, they were powerless to resist the call. We are not to know.

Ferran Torres and Sira Martinez

Barcelona forward Ferran Torres met Luis Enrique's daughter Sira Martinez while playing for Manchester City and the pair began a long-distance relationship before his move to the Catalan giants in 2022. 

According to El Nacional, she fell in love with Torres while he played for City and had already been selected by her father to play for the Spanish national team.

Torres was at City between August 2020 and January 2022, making his first senior appearance for his country in a 1-1 draw with Germany a month after he arrived at the Etihad Stadium.

The couple lived together in Barcelona after his £55m move to the LaLiga outfit. During their relationship, Enrique was Torres' national team manager and even joked that his daughter would 'chop off my head' if he did not start the forward at the World Cup. 

However, their union was not to last, as the two went their separate ways last May. 

Sira, a showjumper, reportedly wanted to focus on her sporting career. The 24-year-old hit the news recently after starting another relationship with a Spanish international. 

This time with Real Sociedad centre-back Robin Le Normand. Spanish TV programme Socialite claimed they were spotted cuddling and being affectionate with each other in the Basque city of San Sebastian where Le Normand's club is based.  No longer the boss of La Roja, Enrique has little reason to comment on the personal affairs of his daughter and her new partner. 

To her herd of more than 355,000 Instagram devotees, Sira flaunts a pastiche of city break memories, horse-riding triumphs, nights out with friends, and football ground views. 

Dele Alli and Maria Guardiola

Maria Guardiola, daughter of Man City boss Pep, grabbed headlines during a short-lived relationship with then-Tottenham star Dele Alli. 

The pair were rumoured to be seeing each other after being spotted together in a London bar in 2022, with an onlooker claiming the 'kissed in front of a DJ booth at Cloud 9 bar'.

Alli had not long been out of a five-year relationship with model Ruby Mae and he apparently flung himself into an fling with Maria. 

At the time, Maria was said to have told friends that she is 'just friends' with Dele despite their reported kiss. After months of speculation the pair were spotted again, this time leaving a London restaurant.

However, everything appeared to go south when Alli was pictured on a date with Made In Chelsea star Nicole Berry. 

Not long after, Alli began a relationship with Cindy Kimberly. The couple recently showed off their matching ring tattoos. As for Maria, she was spotted in a cosy conversation with English singer Conor Maynard. 

The Spaniard is known for her jet-setting frolics across the globe and ventures to lush events, such as a showcase run by Cartier in Windsor Park.

She also had a front-row seat at the F1 season finale in Abu Dhabi, taking a snap with nobody other than Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.

Her holidays have taken her to the pyramids of Cairo, the bright lights of New York, and the rustic hills of Tuscany.

Sergio Aguero and Gianinna Maradona

Sergio Aguero's marriage to Diego Maradona's daughter Gianinna in 2008 was a joining of two great footballing houses. Surely any offspring with the genetics of Maradona and Aguero would be destined to become a great of the game. 

The jury is still out on Benjamin. And unfortunately for the youngster his parent's union would only last until 2012. 

Maradona did not hold back in blasting the then-Man City striker when he was pictured with Argentinian singer Karina Tejeda not long after the split from his daughter.

'It makes me very sad that having so many people around you,' Maradona wrote in a post on social media. 'Not one of them can tell you that your son comes first.' 

Aguero was also labeled a 'wimp' by the icon in the aftermath of his separation from Gianinna.

'He’s a wimp, who I don’t even want to name.' He said in 2013. 'In my daughter’s next meeting with a lawyer, I want to be by her side. We’ll see who can talk. The next time I want to be there to see if he (Aguero) says anything.'

Donny van de Beek and Estelle Bergkamp

Donny van de Beek presumably had a similarly daunting task to Aguero when he was first introduced to the in-laws. The Manchester United flop has been in a relationship with Dennis Bergkamp's daughter Estelle since 2019. 

The pair reportedly met in Amsterdam before Estelle joined Donny in the north of England after his transfer to Old Trafford in 2021. 

Born in London, where her father spent 11 years in the Premier League with Arsenal, Estelle gave birth to the couple's first child in 2022. 

Van de Beek celebrated Lomee's birth by sharing a picture of his little girl in her mother's arms.

'Welcome to the world Lomee van de Beek - 09/04/2022', wrote the former Ajax star, before adding: 'Proud of you @estellebergkamp.'

The Dutch midfielder has been on loan at Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt since January. Unfortunately, like his temporary stint at Everton, he has failed to impress. He looks certain to leave Old Trafford this summer. 

Joe Marchant and Hollie Shearer

England rugby star Joe Marchant has been dating Hollie Shearer since 2022, with the couple now residing in Paris, where the fullback plays for Stade Francais. 

The 28-year-old is a singer-songwriter whose top single on Spotify has garnered more than 1.3million listens.

Her famous father recently revealed a similar sentiment to Paco Jemez when asked about his daughter's relationship with the rugby star. 

'I’m just glad it’s not a footballer.' The Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer joked. 

Her burgeoning music career is built on songs such as 'Leave Right Now', 'Love You Better', and 'Thank You'.

She has had a passion for singing since an early age and her Spotify profile lists country music as her main influence, with legends such as Dolly Parton serving as inspiration.

Hollie is an alumnus of BIMM, a prestigious British music institute.

Nicklas Bendtner and Amy Bruce

Legendary wild child Nicklas Bendtner had a lot to thank Steve Bruce for during his time in England. The former Manchester United defender took Bendtner on loan at two different clubs; Birmingham and Sunderland. 

But more importantly, Bruce reached out to the then 23-year-old when he so consumed by the casino that he was losing up to £100,000 a night. 'Stay away from all that s**t, lad,' Bruce told him. 'It ruins people. No one is spared.'

The Danish striker repaid the favour by dating his daughter Amy but only after accepting a £1,000 bet. 

Bendtner first met Amy at a charity event and despite the unconventional start to their union, the couple fell for each other and began a relationship. 

'All of a sudden, I bet £1,000 with people like [Gary] McSheffrey, [Stephen] Clemence and [Damien] Johnson, who's our captain,' he told Politiken. 

'It could have been expensive if she couldn't stand me. Contrary to the plan, I went and fell in love with Amy.'

Despite them splitting up in 2008, Bendtner's relationship with Steve appeared to have not been affected. Three years later he went on to enjoy a successful campaign with the Black Cats, finishing the campaign as their top scorer with eight goals.
