Achraf Hakimi's agent reveals the PSG star COULD leave the French giants and confirms plans to talk to club chiefs... but admits that one team may beat Man City to signing the full-back

The agent of Achraf Hakimi admitted his player could leave Paris Saint-Germain and insisted that they will need to evaluate the new sporting 'project' at the club before making any decisions.

Hakimi has established himself as one of the world's best right-backs and has been linked with a move away from Parc des Princes this summer as Manchester City identify replacements for Kyle Walker who could leave for Bayern Munich.

The 24-year-old starred at the World Cup as Morocco made it to the semi-finals and according to his agent Alejandro Camano, could soon be changing clubs.

Questionable decisions in recent years and PSG's failure to so far appoint a new manager has caused some superstars including Kylian Mbappe to cast doubt on their future at the club, and Hakimi is also considering different options.

'Achraf wants to be happy in a sports project with a future, he is 24 years old and went to PSG with great enthusiasm, there were other teams behind him and we bet on PSG,' Camano told AS.

'He has three years on his contract and we want him to be calm. What can happen? I don't know, at some point we will have to sit down with PSG and rethink the situation, but we are seeing what the club does... which at the moment has no coach.

'When PSG has a coach and communicates what the project is, we will see. It's one of the best clubs in the world. We'll wait for that to stabilize and see.' he said.

Hakimi joined the Ligue 1 champions from Inter Milan in a £60million deal two years ago and was expected to help end the club's wait for a first Champions League title.

The attacking wing-back signed a five-year deal that will expire in 2026, but could leave this year with PSG in a strong negotiating position given his contract status.

One likely destination could be a return to Real Madrid where Hakimi came through the club's academy before leaving for a loan spell at Borussia Dortmund and eventually being sold to Inter.

He made 17 first-team appearances for the Spanish giants before eventually being deemed not good enough to cement his place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Hakimi still maintains strong affection for his boyhood club and will always call Madrid 'home' according to his representative.

'Achraf has been away from Madrid for five years, but for the homegrown players, Madrid is always his home, somewhere in his heart is Madrid, he was trained there since childhood,' said Camano.

'But today we have to be in love with the project that pays him, and that is PSG. If Madrid wants Achraf, logically we will listen to him, if you ask him you will see that he is a Madrid fan, but our project now is that of PSG.

'If in the future PSG is interested or both parties want to change the course of the situation... Well, we'll sit down and work on it.

'We are part of the profession and we have to accept the challenges. Sometimes things go wrong and you have to change path, but today it would be wrong to think about Madrid,' he added.
