The journalist adds that Dest is flying to Italy this morning for his medical, while the Serie A side will have the option to buy the 21-year-old for £17.3million next summer.

Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after being jettisoned by Ten Hag, but the Dutch boss has indicated that the 24-year-old will stay at the club beyond today's deadline.  

'Aaron showed in the past that he is a constant factor at United,' Ten Hag said. 'I have trust in him. I haven't seen him that much because over a longer period he was injured in pre-season. I didn't have the chance to see him.

'What I heard and what I noticed from the past, he is a good option. He's been training and needs to compete for the position.'
