Talks over a possible move to Italy for the Manchester United striker taking place this morning. Significantly, it is understood there’s reservations at Lazio about the deal, leaving the move in the balance.
Greenwood hasn't played competitive football since December 2021, after he was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted rape.
The 21-year-old was subsequently suspended by the club, however, in February the Crown Prosecution Service subsequently dropped the charges after key witnesses withdrew and new material came to light.
United then concluded after their own investigation and concluded Greenwood did not commit the offences which he was charged with but decided that his future no longer remained at Old Trafford.

The club announced it would help Greenwood secure a move to continue his career, with a view to finding a move before Friday's deadline, despite him still having two-years left on his current deal.
Turkish side Besiktas has been linked with a move for the forward, but have yet to make a concrete move for Greenwood.
It was also believed that clubs in Italy had declined to make a move for the former England striker, but talks are now ongoing with Lazio.
