Erik ten Hag is reportedly no longer on Bayern Munich's shortlist to become their next manager. 

Bayern's director of sport, Max Eberl, held talks with Ten Hag but he is no longer in the running to replace Thomas Tuchel, according to German newspaper

Tuchel is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season as announced in February and is, incidentally, reportedly on United's list of contenders to succeed Ten Hag. 

Bayern have already been spurned by their first three preferences for the role - Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralf Rangnick. All three occupy managerial jobs: Bayer Leverkusen, Germany, and Austria respectively. 

Hansi Flick, who previously managed Bayern to a Treble, is now understood to be the favourite to take the role.

Mail Sport reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team plan to overhaul Carrington this summer to improve the club's diabolical injury record. 

At the centre of the multi-million pound redevelopment will be a new ‘pre-activation and player performance’ zone.

Pre-activation usually involves a series of exercises, often with the use of resistance bands and foam rollers. The aim is to increase blood flow to muscles through activities such as skipping and jogging.

Players will also take part in dynamic mobility exercises, such as lunges, which open up areas such as the knees and hips to aid rotation and carry out a series of stretching routines. A specialised space may well play a key role on a daily basis.
