The stats giant compile a Power Ranking of more than 13,000 football clubs around the world, with places determined by an Elo system akin to the one used by FIFA to rank international sides.
Manchester City unsurprisingly sit top of the list after Pep Guardiola's side secured a treble last season and remain in contention to repeat the feat this year.
Joining the Citizens in the podium spots are Real Madrid and Inter Milan in second and third respectively, with Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal rounding out the top five.
Harry Kane's Bayern Munich slipped three places down to eighth in this week's rankings after a torrid spell that saw them defeated by title rivals Bayer Leverkusen before suffering a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in the Champions League.

Erik ten Hag's side are 22nd in this week's list, below the likes of PSV and Sporting Lisbon
Despite a strong recent run, Manchester United sit all the way down in 22nd, behind Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Newcastle.
Erik ten Hag's side are two spots ahead of rivals City's sister club Girona, and three ahead of Brighton, who have won just one of their last five Premier League games.
Recent results have been positive at Old Trafford however, with the club unbeaten in the league in 2024.
Victory over Aston Villa last weekend moved the club to within five points of Tottenham in fourth as they look to make a charge to secure Champions League football for next season.
Bayern Munich's dismal run of late has seen the Bavarian giants fall out of the global top five
Meanwhile Sheffield United are the lowest-placed Premier League side based on Opta's data, with their 144th ranking them seeing them listed below several Championship sides.
Brentford are the most improved of the global top 50 teams to feature in this week's list.
A 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday catapulted Thomas Frank's side up eleven places in the rankings to 38th.
