Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the press ahead of his side's LaLiga Santander clash against Real Betis on Sunday.

Los Blancos enter the match in mixed form, having beaten Liverpool at Anfield 5-2 before losing 1-0 at home to rivals Barcelona.

The Italian started by praising Sunday's opponents.

"We're up against Real Betis, who are an organised team, and they play very good and attractive football," he told the press conference.

"It'll be a tough game, there's no room for error and we'll do everything we can to get the win.

"We're managing the schedule quite well. The team is in good physical condition and the players are recovering. Mendy should be back next week."

About the defeat to Barcelona, Ancelotti remained positive.

"I watched the game back and I'll stand by what I said. We have to improve things and most of the things we did were done well," he said.

Vinicius had a disappointing and another ill-tempered performance against Barcelona but Ancelotti backed his forward.

"He's a player who is contributing and is focused on what he has to do," he said.

"In the last few games he's been closely marked, but what's important is that he doesn't lose the desire or passion to play and he hasn't done so."

About Karim Benzema, and his frontline in general, there are no doubts.

"It's not always possible to score in every game or to play at your best. The striker's position is the culmination of the team's work," he said.

"Karim doesn't concern me because I think he's in good shape and in better physical condition than he was in the first part of the season.

"In terms of attack, we've scored more goals than any other team in the league. In the last two games we haven't been as clinical, but three days before we scored five at Anfield."
