Saudi side Al-Hilal 'are ready to offer Sergio Ramos more than £26MILLION a season in astronomical two-year deal' to entice PSG defender to Middle East... and it is almost FOUR TIMES more than he gets in France!

  • Sergio Ramos is reportedly being courted by Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal
  • They are ready to offer the defender £26m a year, four times what PSG pay him
  • The Spaniard had previously said he wanted to extend his stay in Paris

Sergio Ramos is reportedly being courted by a Saudi Arabian side for a massive salary which dwarfs the one he is currently getting at PSG.

The Spanish World Cup winner from 2010 joined the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer in 2021, after over 15 years as a stalwart of Real Madrid's central defence.

It might have been viewed as a move to cap Ramos's stellar career for club and country, with the defender turning 37 on Thursday.

But according to L'Equipe, he is highly desired by Al-Hilal who want to offer the Spaniard a two-year deal in Saudi Arabia.

In February, the Riyadh-based Al-Hilal came up against Real Madrid in the final of the Club World Cup, which Carlo Ancelotti's side won 5-3.

Saudi Arabian clubs have spent highly to recruit some of Europe's biggest names, most notably Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo joining Al-Nassr late last year

And L'Equipe report that Ramos has been offered €30 million (£26.4m) net salary per year for a two-year deal, almost four times more than what he receives with PSG in France.

Sportsmail previously reported that Ramos was keen to stay in Paris, and that the club held ambitions to hold onto him.

The 37-year-old has played for PSG 36 times this season across all competitions, a reliable member of their backline, and one of the leaders in Christophe Galtier's dressing room.

But the club are expected to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in the summer on a free transfer, so opportunities next term may become more limited.

Also this week, it emerged that PSG are considering not renewing Lionel Messi's contract in Paris for financial reasons.

PSG have been hit with fines after breaking Financial Fair Play regulations, which mean that the Ligue 1 leaders are looking at ways to reduce their outgoing - including letting players like Messi and Ramos leave at the end of their current deals.

Galtier's PSG currently lead Ligue 1 by seven points, after being eliminated from the Champions League by Bayern Munich. They host Lyon in a league match on Sunday night.

Al-Hilal sit fourth in the Saudi Pro League, ahead of Saturday's home game against Al-Khaleej.
