Real Madrid have serious interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane, as the Englishman is one of the leading candidates to replace Karim Benzema, who, after 14 seasons in white, has signed for Al Ittihad until 2026.

The deal to sign Kane, who is 29 years old and has only one season left on his contract with Tottenham, could be in the region of 80 million euros.

Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid's key defender for 16 years, has not hesitated to advise Kane to sign for Los Blancos.

"My advice to any player is don't turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid," Ramos said, as reported by The Mirror.

"It is a special club that know how to win.

"[Kane] has an incredible physical presence, as you can't score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game.

"But, he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

"Yes, he is a great goalscorer but also he is a great football player as well."

Ramos shares his thoughts on Benzema

Talking about the man that Kane could replace, Benzema, Ramos recalled how important the Frenchman was in the Spanish capital.

"[Benzema] has contributed to so much success with Real Madrid and you will never be able to replace him, as he is one of those players who is unique in the history of Madrid," Ramos said.

"What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals.

"Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation so it needs to be the right player."
