Luka Doncic, after the Dallas Mavericks' loss in the first game of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, responded to a question about the arrival of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid and what he said about one of the topics of the moment caught the attention of the press gathered there.

Doncic, who keeps up to date with the current affairs of his favorite team, Real Madrid, explained that he has not spoken to the French star since his signing with the white club but surprisingly assured that he "already knew".

The Mavs player also bet on his compatriots of the Slovenian national team to win the European Championship.

Doncic says Dallas retains its "chemistry" in Finals

Luka Doncic maintained Saturday that Dallas' "chemistry" remains at a high level and assured that they have to "have fun" and play with less pressure on the court.

"I think it's very important what (Dallas coach) Jason Kidd said: have fun. But we also have to do a much better job on defense, take away those three-pointers, which a lot of them have been released, and answer them," he said at a news conference.

"Yes, the chemistry is very good. We talked after the game, yesterday as well. The chemistry is good, we are all together, we are on the same page, AND, well, after the trade (in which Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington arrived) I think we have strengthened a lot so I already knew we could go far," he added.

Doncic also highlighted the great defensive work of the Celtics in the first meeting and said that the Mavericks have been analyzing what happened so that it does not happen again and so that they do not start the game "with little energy".

"I think they are the second best defense in the NBA. That's why it's hard to play against them and that's why we've watched a lot of video to see how to attack them and we have to do it better. I think we have to be more aggressive," he said.
