Fans believe an England star is set to be the main figure on the new cover of popular video game EA FC after an image reportedly showing the design leaked online.

The battle to be the coveted face of the latest edition of the game is long-running with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi facing on previous versions of the then-FIFA franchise.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland featured on the most recent version of the virtual series and a new star is set to be unveiled before the new game is released.

The last England star to be the central face of the coveted game series was Man United legend, Rooney, who appeared on the cover several times up until 2012.

Now another Three Lions star is believed to be given the honour following a standout season for both club and country.

Gareth Southgate has a wide mix of world class talents in his England team such as Premier League player-of-the-season Phil Foden, Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich goalscorer Harry Kane to name a few.

But, it is Bellingham that has been tipped to be the new figurehead of the EA FC world at the age of just 22-years-old following a career-best 12 months.

The box-to-box midfielder has starred at Real Madrid after completing a £115m transfer last summer, winning the Champions League and LaLiga during his debut campaign.

He has been a similarly important figure with the national team as well, influential in qualifying for Euro 2024 and starring during the team's run to the final.

Bellingham has started every game at the ongoing competition in Germany and has a huge role to play in the final against Spain on Sunday evening.

He scored 23 goals in 42 club appearances with Madrid last season and has two goals at Euro 2024.

However, the midfield talent has appeared to be struggling with fatigue and there is concern he could require surgery on a shoulder injury in the coming weeks.
