There is no doubt that Kylian Mbappe's name is on everyone's lips in France. The Real Madrid striker is not going through his best moment and in his country is the subject of debate.

Michel Platini, who was European champion with the French national team in 1984, has spoken about Mbappe's situation at Real Madrid. He did so on the occasion of Serge Blanco's designation as a "Sports Legend" at the National Sports Museum in Nice.

He hopes to get out of this bad moment

"I find him lost on the field," said the former French international. However, Platini also recognises that Mbappe will know how to recover from this bad moment of play. "A great champion must be reborn from the ashes, systematically. This is what will make Kylian a great champion," he said.

Platini does not hide his concern that Mbappe is not at his best, something that can also affect Les Bleus, although he considers that it may be something temporary: "It will only be a small downturn, for him and for French football," he said.
