Jude Bellingham has publicly pushed back against mounting speculation surrounding the abrupt end of Xabi Alonso's short reign as Real Madrid head coach, delivering an unusually blunt response that has rippled across Spanish and English football circles.

Alonso's dismissal came on Monday following a painful 3-2 loss to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, a defeat that intensified scrutiny on a dressing room already rumored to be divided.

In the hours after Alonso's departure, reports resurfaced in Spain claiming that several senior players had grown frustrated with the former midfielder's tactical approach and man-management.

Those narratives quickly swept Bellingham into the conversation, prompting the England international to respond directly through his personal platform.

"Until now I've let far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time," Bellingham wrote.

"But honestly... what a load of s***."

The 20-year-old midfielder aimed his frustration squarely at unnamed commentators and outlets he believes thrive on controversy rather than accuracy.

"Truly feel sorry for the people that hang onto the every word of these clowns and their 'sources'," Bellingham continued.

"Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for spreading this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy."

Alonso's tenure at the Bernabeu was always going to be judged harshly, given the standards set by predecessors Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane.

Marca reported as early as November that sections of the squad were unconvinced by Alonso's insistence on building play from the back and rotating established stars, with names such as Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde frequently mentioned.

Despite signs of improvement, Real Madrid's struggles in LaLiga lingered, sitting four points behind Barcelona only added pressure ahead of the Super Cup final, where defeat proved decisive.

Fuel was added when Kylian Mbappe appeared to defy Alonso by leading players away from giving Barcelona a guard of honour. Mbappe later offered a more measured tribute following Alonso's exit, praising his ideas and managerial knowledge.

Real Madrid have moved quickly, appointing former defender Alvaro Arbeloa as interim head coach.

For Bellingham, however, the bigger issue remains the narrative surrounding players and accountability.

His forceful denial underscores growing frustration among elite footballers with speculation that crosses the line from analysis into invention, especially during moments of upheaval at globally scrutinized clubs like Real Madrid.
