Revealed: Ticket prices for Champions League final at Wembley… and Liverpool fans face scramble for tickets if they reach Dublin showpiece

Ticket sales for this season's European cup finals have begun with just over one month before the showpiece matches are set to take place.

A handful of Premier League sides remain competitive across Europe's top flight, with Arsenal and Manchester City hoping to take steps towards the Champions League final at Wembley on Tuesday evening with their first-leg ties against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively.

Aston Villa is the sole English representative in the Europa Conference League quarter-finals, and will play Ligue 1 side Lille on Thursday evening with a view to booking a spot in the final in Athens at the end of May.

Thursday will also see Liverpool and West Ham restart their campaign in the Europa League quarter-finals, with Jurgen Klopp's side due to face off against Atalanta and David Moyes' side hoping to end Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten season.

But despite the final ties yet to be decided, UEFA has released tickets for fans keen to enter the lottery for tickets - and their associated pricing structure.

Ticket sales for UEFA's competitions - including the showpiece Champions League final - have launched

This year's Champions League final will be staged at Wembley, with fans receiving a 60,000-seat allocation

Liverpool fans will hope their side's European journey ends with a final at the Dublin Arena on Wednesday May 22

Should fans wish to book tickets for the Champions League final on Saturday June 1 - of which 60,000 of the 86,000 available will be accessible for supporters and the general public - the cheapest ticket will be £60, marginally less than last year's £62 ticket to watch Manchester City beat Inter Milan in Istanbul.

This ticket is reserved specifically for fans of one of the two teams featuring in the capital, with both sets of supporters receiving an allocation of 25,000 seats each.

Members of the general public can purchase a Category 3 ticket - the second cheapest - for £160, with the price rising sharply to £430 for a Category 2 ticket.

The most expensive seat in the house, in Category 1, will go for £610, with all prices largely the same as in 2023.

The prices come down somewhat for the Europa League, with Liverpool or West Ham fans likely set to fight over their 12,000-seat allocation for a £34 (€40) ticket.

Category 3 seats will be available for £55 (€65), the next tier £85 (€100), with the most expensive ticket cheaper than a third-tier ticket in England at £128 (€150).

The amount of seats on offer will represent a significant comedown for Reds fans last treated to a 19,618 allowance ahead of their Champions League final against Real Madrid in 2022 at Stade de France.

The Irish venue will see 36,000 seats allocated to fans of the two teams that reach the final

The Europa League final will be held at the AEK Arena in Athens on Wednesday May 29 2024

Last year's Europa League Conference winners West Ham had just 5,780 fans in attendance

Just 36,000 of Dublin Arena's 48,000 allowance will be available for fans and members of the general public to purchase - but UEFA will no doubt be relieved that the possibility of an all-British Liverpool versus Rangers final was taken off the table after the Premiership side was beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Benfica in the Round of 16.

For Villa fans keen to nail down one of the 9,000 tickets available at the AEK Arena in Athens, they will can pay a relative snip of £21 (€25) for a Category 4 ticket, with the most expensive ticket costing just £107 (€125).

The 21,000 seats available to fans of either side in competition in UEFA's third tournament marks a significant increase on last year's final.

Just 13,000 seats were available for fans of West Ham and Fiorentina, with the Hammers having just 5,780 of their supporters at the Fortuna Arena to watch them lift long-awaited silverware aloft in Prague.
