Kylian Mbappe's mum aims a dig at his former club PSG after the Frenchman's unveiling at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe's mum has aimed a dig at Paris Saint-Germain after the forward was officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.

The French super star was given a glorious unveiling  in front of 80,000 Real Madrid fans and their 15 Champions League trophies at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The forward beamed as he spoke about joining the 'club of his dreams' after being teed up by a performance from Andrea Bocelli, an extended montage of his highlights, and a speech from club president Florentino Perez.

Mbappe's move to the Spanish capital was officially announced last month following the expiration of his contract at PSG.

And his mum, Fayza Lamari, didn't hold back as she compared the two clubs, claiming she felt the 'difference' during Tuesday's unveiling.

Real Madrid fans will 'be made to wait for Kylian Mbappe's debut'

'The Parc des Princes is extraordinary but when you arrive at Real Madrid, you feel the weight of the institution'.

Mbappe's move to Madrid comes two years after he rejected the 15-time Champions League winners in favour of staying at PSG.

Lamari insists he shouldn't have regrets despite some of the criticism the may have received he got during his unveiling.

'No, he shouldn't regret anything. When you are born in Paris and grow up in Bondy, it is quite an event to play in the Parc des Princes. Kylian has never lied,' Lamari added.

'He always told the president that one day he would go to Real Madrid. But if it wasn't Madrid, I would never have left Paris. It has been very, very difficult for Kylian, that is clear'.

Mbappe spent seven years in the French capital and was wildly successful, lifting seven Ligue 1 titles, but the Champions League has always eluded him.

He has agreed to take a major pay cut after signing a five-year contract and is due to receive £12.8million net a season at Madrid, down from the £21.4m net he earned in Paris.

Lamari says she 'felt the difference' between the Bernabeu and Parc des Princes

Despite losing out in terms of basic wage Mbappe will be paid a sizeable signing on fee understood to be over £85.6m and will keep an 80 per cent share of image rights on any new commercial deals he signs after becoming a Madrid player. This breaks from the normal 50-50 split the club usually imposes on new players.

Mbappe's decision to leave Paris for Madrid has been welcomed in the Spanish capital as the final piece in the puzzle for Ancelotti to lead a team that can dominate European football for the next decade.
