Gareth Bale, a former Real Madrid player who retired in 2023 at the age of 33, is preparing his return to football.
The former Welsh footballer has made a bid of more than 46 million euros to buy Cardiff City, the club in his hometown.

Vincent Tan, the current owner of Cardiff, is open to selling the Welsh club after they were relegated from the Championship to League One in May.
The newspaper 'The Times' reports that a consortium led by Bale has been looking to buy a football team, having been linked with a failed takeover of Plymouth Argyle.

Cardiff have already rejected a first undisclosed bid from the Bale-led consortium.

The 46 million that Bale would have to pay for Cardiff City is less than half of the amount that Real Madrid paid for his transfer (99 million) in 2013.
"We are interested in Cardiff. It's my hometown club, where I grew up and my uncle (Chris Pike) played for them," Bale, 35, recently admitted.
"Being part of an ownership group would be a dream come true. I would love to be part of Cardiff's growth and take them to the Premier League, where they deserve to be," he said.
