Lecce's technical director has left the doors open to the Frenchman's signing

Samuel Umtiti's future is likely in Italy. Lecce, a team recently promoted to Serie A, are keen on the Frenchman's arrival. Pantaleo Corvino, head of the Italian club's technical department, spoke about it.

"I can't deny it, it's important news. It's an idea we have, like many others. Once it's passed and not denied, it's logical that anything can happen. At this point, everything is possible," said the sporting director of the 'Calcio' club.

Lecce's president, Saverio Sticchi Damiani, also confirmed a few days ago that the Italian club's interest in the defender was real. The idea is to loan the player without an option to buy, with Barça assuming a major part of his salary.

The deal would include bonuses that the Spanish club would receive based on the number of minutes Umtiti plays for Lecce. The Frenchman has permission not to train with the rest of the squad, so he may expedite his departure.
