Six goals were shared as Juventus and Atalanta put on a breathtaking show in Turin on Sunday night, playing out a 3-3 daw in Serie A's 19th Matchday.

Both sides boasted leads on the night, Atalanta twice and Juventus once, and both showed good resolve to battle their way back onto parity and then to go in front in what was a fascinating end-to-end encounter in Turin.

Atalanta started excellently, and looked to have taken inspiration from how Napoli went about their hammering of the Bianconeri last time out. They were rewarded for their intent when Ademola Lookman saw his early strike somehow get through Wojciech Szczesny and creep into the net.

Although Juventus' week looked as though it was set to get worse, Angel Di Maria took control of things and was the best player on the pitch for much of the game. He levelled things up after the hosts were awarded a penalty for a clumsy Ederson foul, sending fellow Argentine Juan Musso the wrong way.

Juventus then got themselves in front, which time through Arkadiusz Milik. A ball was fizzed in from the right and the Polish forward perfectly caught it on the volley and fired into the back of the net, leaving Musso with no chance.

Another strong Atalanta start

Atalanta came out for the second half much like they had for the first, and within a few minutes they had turned the game on its head again. Joakim Maehle levelled with a cool finish inside 60 seconds of the restart, and Lookman climbed above Alex Sandro to put the Bergamo side ahead just moments later, leaving Juventus shocked.

As was the way in this game, though, the scoring wasn't finished there and it continued to play out as though it were an NBA clash, with teams taking turns to attack.

Juventus drew level again through Danilo, firing a low strike in from a free-kick that Musso couldn't keep out.
