History was made in Udine on Thursday night as parties were sparked in Naples as Luciano Spalletti's Napoli team won Serie A. It came courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Udinese after the champagne was put on ice by Napoli's draw with Salernitana on Sunday.
However, a point in this game means that Lazio, who sit in second in Serie A, can no longer catch Napoli, who have won the league for the first time since Diego Maradona led the team in 1989/90.
Lovric tried to spoil the party
It wasn't all plain sailing though, as Sandi Lovric fired a powerful rocket of a shot into the roof of Alex Meret's net in the first half. That gave the home team an unexpected lead and the nerves of Sunday's draw crept back in for a Napoli team who had looked so confident all season.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia then had appeals for a penalty turned down by VAR and it felt like this could be a long night for the fans who travelled from Naples.
Osimhen the hero
Early in the second half, as so often this season, it was Victor Osimhen who emerged the hero for Napoli. His 22nd league goal of the campaign was what sealed the point as Kvaratskhelia's low shot from distance was palmed into the path of the forward.
From there on out, Napoli continued to push for a winner but it wasn't necessary as the point sealed them the Scudetto. At the final whistle, Naples erupted and celebrations began which will stretch long into the night and, most likely, into the weekend.
