Tottenham reach agreement with Manor Solomon as they move closer to free signing of ex-Fulham loanee, despite his deal at Shakhtar running until December

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Israeli winger Manor Solomon as Ange Postecoglou further looks to bolster his squad in the transfer window.
Solomon impressed while on loan at Fulham last season and he was linked with a move to Craven Cottage on a permanent deal.
But Spurs have leapt at the opportunity to hijack a move and a deal is now in place pending FIFA clearance, as reported by Mail Sport's transfer guru Simon Jones, with a four-year contract agreedhttps://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1675555663181668353
The specifics of any deal for the 23-year-old would see him join a new club on a free transfer despite his contract at Shakhtar Donetsk not expiring until December.
Current FIFA rules allow any player who is under contract at a Ukrainian club to extend their deals for a further year.

The clause known as Annex 7 means that Solomon can extend his deal past its current contract expiry date of December 31 and join a new suitor as a free agent.
However, Shakhtar have been contesting Solomon's departure on a free.
He will now undergo a medical at the Spurs in the upcoming days before putting pen-to-paper on a long-term contract that will secure his future in the Premier League.
Solomon will become Tottenham's fourth signing of the summer following the permanent captures of James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Dejan Kulusevski, who spent last season on loan at the club.
The winger could rival Son and Kulusevski for a starting role in Postecoglou's team as the new Tottenham boss attempts to find his best side ahead of his debut year in the English top-flight.
Solomon was a key performer for Fulham last season as Marco Silva's side finished 10th in the league standings and narrowly missing out on a place in European competition.
He scored five goals in 24 appearances across all competitions and will be hoping for a more promising start to life at Tottenham after requiring knee surgery just one game into last season.
Life in Ukraine previously saw him star for Shakhtar, scoring 28 goals in European cup competition as his impressive form alerted English top-flight clubs to his talents.
