Joan Laporta is the latest person at Barcelona to test positive for COVID-19, having been in close contact with Ferran Torres, who also returned a positive test, during the forward's presentation at the Camp Nou on Monday.

The Barcelona president was scheduled to be present for the club's Copa del Rey tie away at Linares and LaLiga Santander fixture against Granada at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

Laporta is okay and has no symptoms, and he tested positive for antigens and positive in the PCR test. The sporting vice-president, Rafa Yuste, tested negative but will not travel to Linares as a precaution.

As part of the COVID-19 protocols, Laporta will have to now quarantine and then return a negative test if he is to be able to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Supercopa de Espana, with Barcelona's semi-final tie against Real Madrid set to take place on January 12.
