Hansi Flick has worked wonders since walking through the doors at Barcelona, and his exceptional debut campaign continued to build steam in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Barcelona welcomed Young Boys to Catalonia and eased to a 5-0 victory which really could have presented more goals for the hosts.

With Los Cules sat comfortably atop LaLiga EA Sports, the club's continental campaign has the potentially to be equally as exciting given the new format allowing stronger clubs to face more of the weaker teams, even if not by design.

It took the Spanish club just eight minutes to open the scoring on Tuesday, with Robert Lewandowski firing the ball home from close range.

Lamine Yamal's return to the team appeared to give Flick's charges so much more dynamism in attack, they were petrifying the Swiss side with each venture beyond the halfway line.

The former Bayern Munich forward was in space and was able to nod the ball home to make it 4-0.

Mohamed Camara was in the wrong place at the wrong time as he inadvertently directed a Barcelona pass into his own goal, giving the hosts a comfortable 5-0 advantage.

Whilst it would have proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal, Young Boys had the ball in the back of the net through Joel Monteiro.

Monteiro produced a stunningly technical finish, only for VAR to rule the goal out for an offside in the build-up.
