The Barcelona defender wanted a spot kick at the end of the first half
FC Barcelona were unable to overcome Real Madrid in the first official Clásico of the season. Ancelotti's side won the Estadi Lluís Companys by an unfair 2-1 scoreline with two goals from Jude Bellingham, who until the goals had not been decisive.
The match, however, could have changed if Gil Manzano, the referee for the Clásico, had given a penalty in Barça's favour in the last action of the first half. At a corner on the stroke of half-time, Ronald Araujo was denied by a clear foul from Tchouaméni, who sent him to the ground with his left arm as the Uruguayan was about to shoot.
Araujo complained with resignation about an action that could have been decisive with Barça 1-0 up at the time: "I thought it was a penalty, I'm going to shoot and he pushes me back, if he doesn't push me I could score."
The defender asked that "at least he (Gil Manzano) could review it. It's his decision and we have to continue, but it's sad because it's a clear action."
He also denied that his clash with Camavinga was punishable: "In the action with Camavinga, I just got in front of him and it's nothing."
On the match, Araujo didn't hide his frustration at the result: "I'm very upset about the defeat, the game got out of control. Madrid are the better team with space. The game, in the first half, we had more control, we could have scored the second."
