Stars align at PSG training as Mauricio Pochettino unleashes Lionel Messi with Kylian Mbappe AND Neymar... but fans are left baffled at the 'most unfair mini game team of ALL TIME'

  • Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar linked up at PSG training on Tuesday
  • Mauricio Pochettino put the three strikers and Angel Di Maria on the same team
  • Mbappe combined with Messi to set the Argentine up for a well-worked goal
  • Some supporters claimed that the strenght of lethal attacking team was unfair

Mauricio Pochettino unleashed Kylian Mbappe and Neymar alongside new team-mate Lionel Messi in training on Tuesday as fans branded the line-up 'the most unfair mini game team of all time'.

Messi joined the Ligue 1 club on a free transfer following his shock exit from Barcelona earlier this month and he is already in the thick of the action, with PSG's official Twitter account showing Mbappe setting up the Argentine for a well-worked goal in training.

And the pair were both on the 'winning team' in Tuesday's session, with goalkeeper Keylor Navas, Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler making up the rest of theline-up.

But supporters were quick to point out that the balance of the teams were perhaps a tad unfair with Pochettino putting all of his star attackers on the same side.

One fan tweeted: 'This is the most unfair mini game team of all time'.

Another added: 'This was the winning team in PSG last training session. Pochettino is a wicked person... Mbappe, Messi, Di Maria and Neymar in one team.'

A further tweet read: 'Whoever picked that team needs sacking that's unbelievably harsh', while another wrote: 'This photo is the exact definition of Overkill.

'They put Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in the same team in training, ofc they were winning'.

Other supporters picked up on Mbappe and Messi combining, with the Frenchman full of smiles as they both posed for a picture.

One fan wrote: 'Right, I see many Madrid pages on Twitter they say Mbappe isn't happy with the arrival of Leo Messi but this image say another thing.'

Reports from Italian outlet Gazzeta Dello Sport claimed Mbappe had been left 'concerned' over Messi's arrival at the Parc des Princes, with the 22-year-old fearing he could be put in the Argentine's shadow.

Mbappe has just one year left on his PSG contract and is yet to commit his future to the club, amid strong interest from Real Madrid.

But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has dismissed claims that Mbappe could leave the club this summer.

Speaking at Messi's first press conference at the club, Al-Khelaifi touched on Mbappe's situation.

He said: 'Everyone knows the future of Mbappe. He is a PSG player.

'Kylian is very competitive, he wants to win, he has publicly said that he does not want to leave the team and there are no doubts or excuses of any other kind. Mbappe stays'.

Mbappe also took to Instagram to welcome Messi to the club following his arrival. He shared pictures of him hugging the Barcelona legend with the caption: 'Welcome to Paris, Leo.'

But the striker was booed by some of his own fans before PSG's 4-2 victory over Strasbourg, with supporters unhappy that he has not signed a new contract.

Pochettino insisted he is 'very happy' with Mbappe's commitment to the club.

'I did not hear the whistles,' Pochettino said after Sunday's game.

'I am very happy with him. He's focused on what he needs to do and had a really good game. He must continue on this path.
