The Saudi side are back in the race for the Bosnian, who earned a place in the squad but has yet to get any playing time.

Miralem Pjanic's situation has changed significantly in recent weeks. The Bosnian seemed to have won Xavi's confidence during pre-season, but he has yet to make his La Liga debut and the renewed interest of Al-Nassr changes things.

The Saudi club are proposing a loan deal for the Bosnian, assuming 70% of the midfielder's fee. Barça prefer a transfer but are considering the option put forward by the Middle Eastern club.

The president of Al-Nassr, Prince Faisal Bin Turki, is said to have travelled to Barcelona today to try to close the deal for the midfielder.

According to 'Jijantes', Barça intend to communicate to La Liga that they longer have five of their current first-team players, including Pjanic.

Another important fact to bear in mind is that the transfer market in Saudi Arabia does not close until 17 September, so the Bosnian could leave after the market closes in Spain.
