Liverpool fans have hailed Virgil van Dijk following a viral video of him treating Manchester United players with 'contempt and disdain'.
Arne Slot's side took a resounding 3-0 victory at Old Trafford thanks to a brace from Luis Diaz and a strike from Mohamed Salah.
Reds captain Van Dijk revelled in Liverpool's smashing of their bitter rivals and was involved in a number of incidents with United players throughout the game.
The first came when Andre Onana gave Van Dijk a cheeky elbow in the stomach, to which the defender playfully mocked the United goalkeeper as if he had hurt him.
Onana then appeared to have words with Van Dijk, who had a big smile on his face compared to the stern expression on the face of the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

The second moment came when Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was face down on the ground, holding onto his ankle.
Van Dijk approached Fernandes and gave him a scratch on the back of the neck.
The final moment came after Lisandro Martinez received a yellow card for a cynical challenge on Dominik Szoboszlai.
Van Dijk showed his fighting side as he dared his opposing defender 'do that against me' in defence of his team-mate.
Liverpool fans have taken to social media to hail their captain with one writing: 'F***ing love our Virg. He loves the responsibility of being his size.'
Another wrote: 'Oh I love @VirgilvDijk taking absolutely no prisoners today. What a leader,' while another simply wrote 'my f***ing captain'.
A fourth person commented: 'He was rattling all of them and clearly loved doing it.'
Another suggested that Van Dijk's reaction to Onana's elbow was initially him trying to get the goalkeeper sent off, only to have a change of heart.

Van Dijk is one of three big Liverpool stars who are in the final years of their contracts, alongside Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
