Luke Littler is potentially the most popular household name there is in sport right now.

A World Championship finalist, a European Tour Champion and probably an England European Championship exit away from being a lock-in to win Sports Personality of the Year, the 17-year-old added the Premier League title to his ever-growing list of accolades on Thursday night.

The prodigy-turned-world beater could hardly hold back the tears as he embraced his girlfriend and family after beating World Championship nemesis Luke Humphries at the O2 arena, and it feels like his maiden TV title is his first of many more to come.

But there is more to Littler than darts. Growing up in the social media age, he hasn't been one to shy away from his love of gaming and Manchester United. His face is plastered all over the top brands in the country as they clamber for his signature. At the start of this year, he was forced to defend his relationship.

Mail Sport takes a closer look at the new Premier League champion's life away from the oche.

Eloise Milburn, then 21, received widespread backlash for her relationship with Littler, then 16, during his World Championship run in January.

Milburn, a beauty consultant, was slammed due to the age gap in the relationship and was branded a 'money grabber', but Littler said he would stick by her side 'no matter what people think'.

The pair began speaking towards the back end of last year, becoming close as they shared their love of darts and football video game EA Sports FC (previously FIFA).

Littler lives in Warrington, Cheshire while Milburn is from Hersham, Surrey, which is more than 200 miles away. The two were introduced to each other via Xbox by mutual darts friends, leading to a romance blossoming despite being at opposite ends of the country.

Milburn was present at the O2 on Thursday to watch her lover secure his first TV title, and they embraced as Littler left the stage following his victory.

Littler is often followed around the country and Europe by his mother, Lisa Littler, and father, Anthony Buckley.

The duo are The Nuke's biggest fans, and can take some form of credit for his success after buying him his first dartboard and taking him to the pub to practice when he was young.

Anthony is a taxi driver, while Lisa works at a shop selling scented candles.

Anthony revealed to The Times earlier this year that he had told Littler to give up his dream of becoming a footballer when he was just nine.

'Concentrate on darts,' he revealed he told his son. 'You can still play football here and there. But if there's a darts comp on at the weekends, go to darts first.'

Lisa's social media accounts are plastered with tributes to her son's successes, while a video of Littler throwing darts aged just 18 months emerged last year, with Anthony, who was a casual darts player himself, taking credit for Luke's early introduction to the sport.

On Thursday, they were the first people Luke ran over to embrace after being crowned Premier League champion.

Prior to his 2024 World Championship run, Littler had won £2,500 in prize money from ranking tournaments. In reaching the final of that competition, he won £200,000.

His face was a picture when master of ceremonies John McDonald announced his £275,000 cash prize for his victory on Thursday. That's to go alongside the £40,000 picked up from his four nightly wins in the qualification stage.

Victory in the Bahrain Masters saw Littler beat three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen in January and seal a further £20,000.

Another £10,000 followed for the Warrington-born star at the Dutch Masters, and he showed no signs of slowing down by continuing to take further high-profile scalps in the former of Rob Cross in the Belgian Open and claimed another £30,000.

Other earnings came in the form of £15,000 after he reached the quarter-finals of the UK Open along with another £15,000 for winning the ProTour Players Championship

His total PDC order of merit earnings are now registered at £303,500 for the last two years, while his 2024 prize winnings now total £648,500 following a stunning five months of darts.

In February, Littler signed what reports suggested was a multi-year, multi-million-pound professional contract with Target Darts, whose clients also include Phil Taylor, Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross.

Away from darts, he is the face of fashion brand Boohoo man, penning a deal with the online retailer just after turning 17.

Thanks to his darts success and the deal, Littler became a millionaire in a matter of weeks, with sources suggesting he could build up a £40 million fortune.

A fan of social media mega group The Sidemen, Littler was reportedly paid thousands to star in an advert for 'BEST' cereal, eating the breakfast while throwing three no-look bullseyes. Zerkaa of The Sidemen said of the deal: 'Having Luke Littler in our ads is perfect, because he's 100 per cent the best at darts in our eyes, the man's already a legend!'

Littler is also set to stamp his name on gym gear, weightlifting and martial arts kit and waist trimming exercise belts, according to The Sun.

It is reported that he lodged his application to trademark his name with the Intellectual Property Office weeks ago and has ambitions to also adorn footballs, golf and tennis balls, 'gymnastic and sporting articles' and darts equipment with his moniker.

With the teen at the top level to stay, brands will be fighting for his signature for years to come.

Littler sometimes streams on social media platform TikTok while playing his beloved Xbox.

He revealed after coming second in the World Championship that he would be spending some of his winnings on the EA FC game, and has also said before that he enjoys playing it during his down time.

Earlier this year, he joined social media 'Pro Club' team 'Girth N Turf', headed by influencers Yung Filly and Angry Ginge.

He's connected with the influencer community since his rise, and was snapped recently with Filly while also competing in a football challenge on YouTube alongside the likes of Ginge and Pieface23.

Littler is a key member of the squad, which also includes the likes of Wayne Rooney, and can regularly be heard on the channels of others involved.

Getting away

Despite his recent big pay days, Littler hasn't jetted off to the likes of Dubai or Barbados with his new found wealth.

After his World Championship run, he revealed he was going to go to Alton Towers with his friends, and recently posed for snap while on a trip to Blackpool with his other half.

In April, Milburn shared a snap of the pair getting drenched at Pleasure Beach, captioned: 'Good little day out.'

In June, meanwhile, he will skip the Nordic Masters due to family commitments, with his manager telling The Sun: 'He's still a teenager, still 17 - if he wasn't playing darts, he'd be doing an apprenticeship or still be in school. So there are duties of care we have to follow to look after Luke as best as we can.'

There will be no private jets or Burj Khalifa trips, at least not yet.
