And with the rules over handball constantly changing, journalist Tomas Guasch is of the belief that the interpretation of the law will once again be altered next season.

Guasch took aim specifically at the technical director of the International Football Association Board (IFAB), David Elleray, for the way the game has become in regards to handball decisions.

"David Elleray. This is the man who is the head of FIFA's referees or whatever, who decides every year why we should retouch a perfect rule in football," he vented in a video broadcast.

"The case of Militao for example: Next season Militao's handball won't be a handball, they will invent something else."
