Jude Bellingham has been named in Real Madrid's starting XI for the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund this evening.

The midfield sensation will look to cap off a scintillating debut season with Madrid by lifting the famous trophy at the expense of his former club at Wembley.

Bellingham, 20, joined Madrid from Dortmund in a deal worth an initial £88.5million last summer and has since scored 23 goals across all competitions.

Carlo Ancelotti has also given the nod to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with Andriy Lunin dropping to the bench. Courtois has played just four matches this season.

The Belgian stopper suffered an ACL injury last August and in his absence, Lunin deputised superbly, establishing himself as the No 1 ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Lunin performed heroics in Madrid's quarter-final shootout victory against Manchester City but will not be involved after coming down with flu.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, boss Ancelotti said: 'Lunin has had the flu. It didn't allow him to train or travel.'

Madrid, who have already won LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup this season, came into the mouthwatering showdown against Dortmund with virtually a fully fit squad.

In attack, Ancelotti has opted for his usual front three of Vinicius Junior, Bellingham and Rodrygo. Bellingham is expected to occupy his now familiar No 10 role.

Toni Kroos will aim to clinch Madrid's 15th European Cup in his final club game, having announced he will retire from football after Euro 2024 this summer.

Aurelien Tchouameni, who was expected to miss out entirely, has been named on the bench with Eduardo Camavinga dropping into central midfield.

Joselu, the unlikely scorer of both of Madrid's goals in their dramatic semi-final second-leg victory against Bayern Munich, is also among the substitutes.

David Alaba, Luka Modric and Eder Militao may also be called upon by Ancelotti.

In the Dortmund camp, Marco Reus will don his club's shirt for the last time while Jadon Sancho will look to win the trophy on loan from Manchester United.

Sancho will shortly return to Old Trafford but his long-term future is uncertain.
