Real Madrid have given up on Alphonso Davies. The Canadian left-back, after approaches made in recent days, will renew his contract with Bayern Munich and will remain with the Bavarian club, with whom he was out of contract next June

The 24-year-old's representative started to 'move' from meeting to meeting since the beginning of 2025 and all these movements will culminate in a great contract extension for his client until, according to German media, 2030 with a salary of 15 million euros gross.

This ends a 'soap opera' that the white team started a year ago, seeing that the player was out of contract in 2025 and, following strategies such as those of Alaba or Mbappe, several steps were taken to try to sign him. The Munich team was resigned to losing him and even asked for a figure close to 50 million euros last summer, an unaffordable figure for Real Madrid, who opted to wait to close the deal six months before the end of his contract in Germany.

Now, the Spanish club has found itself embroiled in a situation it has shied away from in recent times and it is precisely that of others trying to get Real Madrid to break its lines when it comes to signing players. The line seems to have already been drawn and the truth is that the interest in the full-back existed but the agent's line of action was never liked.

The agreement could be concretized

On two occasions they have had the feeling that the agreement could be concretized in a contract in which the Canadian's signature appeared. Nedal Househ, his agent, was always looking for a new twist. In recent days there was talk of an imminent agreement with Bayern, which has finally been the case and will be finalized in the coming hours.
