The NFL has announced the strict implementation of its clear bag policy for the league's first official game in Spain, scheduled for Sunday, November 16 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. This measure, in line with the NFL's global security standards, aims to ensure a safe environment for the thousands of fans expected in the Spanish capital, facilitating quick inspections at the entrances.

The policy states that all permitted bags must be clear and no larger than 12"x6"x12", made of plastic, vinyl or PVC. Spectators are strongly advised not to bring any type of luggage, but if it is essential, options such as a 3.8-litre clear plastic bag or a small bag up to 4.5"x6.5" with or without a handle are permitted. Exceptions apply for sealed medical bags, which will be inspected and tagged in special lanes, prioritising accessibility without compromising safety.

Prohibited objects

Among the prohibited items are a wide range of articles that could pose risks, such as firearms, knives, drones, fireworks, illegal substances and any opaque container, including backpacks, coolers or briefcases. Alcoholic beverages, aerosols, unauthorized musical instruments and bulky electronic devices are also banned.

The NFL emphasizes that this list is not exhaustive and that security personnel reserve the right to deny entry to any item deemed inappropriate, in order to prevent incidents and expedite the flow of entry into the stadium.PROHIBITED ITEMS LIST

-Cameras and binoculars: small cameras and binoculars are allowed. Cameras with lenses larger than 15 cm (6") are not permitted. Camcorders are prohibited except for accredited media. Cases must comply with the bag policy.
-Drones or unmanned aerial systems (UAS)
-Inflated balls (deflated balls purchased on match day at the stadium are permitted)
-Firearms, knives, blades, scissors, tools, electronic weapons or replicas
-Fireworks, explosives, ammunition, flares, smoke canisters or pyrotechnics
-Frisbees and similar objects
-Illegal substances, drugs or associated paraphernalia
-Laptops and laptop cases
-Industrial type permanent markers

-Unauthorised musical instruments (trumpets, drums, vuvuzelas, etc.)
-Noise-producing objects (horns, whistles, sirens, handled pom-poms etc.)
-Sticks, tripods, "selfie sticks" or similar objects
-Cushions with pockets, zippers or compartments
-Roller skates, skateboards or scooters
-Spray paint
-Baby carriages or pushchairs (except for medical reasons and with corresponding tag)
-Broadcasting devices

-Unauthorised leaflets or pamphlets
-Umbrellas: fixed-shaft umbrellas of any size are prohibited. Folding umbrellas less than 61 cm (24") are permitted but may not be opened inside the stadium.
