The white club, as MARCA revealed yesterday, gathered information about what happened at the Benfica stadium after Vinicius' goal, before the temporary suspension of the match after the activation of the anti-racism protocol by Francois Lexetier, the referee of the match, after Vinicius denounced insults by Prestianni, the Argentine player of Benfica.

Real Madrid's investigation focused mainly on what happened in the stands at the Estadio da Luz, where some home fans made racist gestures towards the Madrid players, especially Vinicius. They consider it difficult to prove the alleged insults of Prestianni towards the Brazilian. The Benfica player is said to have repeatedly called the Madrid winger a "monkey", although he did so with his face covered with his shirt
