In a stunning turn of events, Osasuna delivered Barcelona their first LaLiga loss of the season, defeating the Catalan side 4-2 at El Sadar.

Hansi Flick's bold decision to field a youthful starting lineup backfired, as the team struggled to cope with Osasuna's well-organized counterattacks and defensive solidity.

This defeat not only stopped Barcelona's winning streak but also raised questions about Flick's tactical approach and use of squad rotations.

Facing a packed schedule and several injuries, Flick opted for a heavily rotated squad, including youngsters like Cubarsí, Sergi Domínguez, Gerard Martín, Pablo Torre, and Pau Víctor.

However, the strategy faltered as Barcelona dominated possession (over 70%) but failed to create any meaningful chances.

Osasuna knew exactly how to neutralize Barcelona's possession-heavy play. With a tight defensive setup, they denied Barcelona any real opportunities to trouble Sergio Herrera in goal.

Meanwhile, Osasuna's counterattacks exposed Barcelona's inexperienced defense.

The breakthrough came early, with Bryan Zaragoza-who had already caused Barcelona problems in the past-delivering a perfect cross for Budimir to score with a header.

Just ten minutes later, Zaragoza doubled the lead, slotting past Iñaki Peña after a brilliant through ball from Ibáñez.

Despite protests from Barcelona regarding a possible foul on Pau Víctor in the build-up, the goal stood, and Osasuna went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Flick's Changes Came Too Late

Despite a poor first half, Flick made no changes at the break, though Barcelona looked more threatening as the second half began. They finally found some luck when Sergio Herrera's error gifted Pau Víctor a goal.

With the scoreline at 2-1, Flick introduced Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, pushing Barcelona forward in search of an equalizer.

However, Osasuna remained dangerous on the counter. Areso led a swift break down the right, setting up Budimir, who was brought down by Sergi Domínguez in the box.

Budimir converted the penalty, putting the game out of Barcelona's reach at 3-1.

Brotones later added a fourth goal for Osasuna, and while Lamine Yamal scored a late consolation for Barcelona, the damage had already been done.

Zaragoza's Star Continues to Rise

Bryan Zaragoza is fast becoming a nightmare for Barcelona. Last season, playing for Granada, he scored two goals against the Catalans.

This time, in an Osasuna shirt, he contributed a goal and an assist, further cementing his reputation as one of LaLiga's rising stars. His ability to step up in big matches has made him a pivotal figure for his team.
