  • The highly anticipated Champions League draw took place on Friday morning 
  • Chelsea were drawn against Real Madrid for the quarter-final of the competition 
  • However, Chelsea's all-important tie with the Spanish giants could be reversed 
  • Chelsea could play the first leg of the tie away at Madrid and the second at home
  • It would be because both Atletico and Real can't play at home on the same day

Chelsea could play against Real Madrid at home for the second leg of their quarter-final Champions League tie. 

The defending European champions were drawn against the LaLiga giants - who are chasing a 14th European title - on Friday morning. 

However, Chelsea's tie with the Spanish side could be reversed as both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid can't play at home on the same day.

Therefore, Thomas Tuchel's side could play away first and then at home for the all-important second-leg.

However, Real Madrid have dined claims they will play the second leg of the fixture at Stamford Bridge - according to Goal.

Meanwhile, Premier League giants Manchester City will take on Atletico Madrid and Liverpool play Benfica. Additionally, Bayern Munich will face Villarreal in the other last eight tie.  

Chelsea booked their place in the last-eight by beating Lille, while Real staged a tremendous comeback to knock out Paris Saint-Germain. 

The Blues overcame Real 3-1 on aggregate to reach last season's final, drawing 1-1 at the Bernabeu before winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to progress.
