  • Briefly interrupted Spurs' training session at AAMI Park
  • 'Fan' supports Tottenham's bitter Premier League rivals Arsenal
  • Expected to avoid a fine of up to $5000 on a technicality

The brazen football 'fan' who invaded the pitch at AAMI Park during Tottenham's training session in Melbourne has revealed what he shouted at Ange Postecoglou's Premier League stars.

Labelling himself on TikTok as 'Melbournesmennace', the man in question boldly decided to film himself as he illegally entered the arena on Tuesday night.

Security intervened before he got anywhere near the players - but not before the keen Arsenal fan delivered a verbal insult that's sure to leave Hotspur fans furious.

'Up the Gunners,' he could be heard exclaiming to the likes of Spurs defenders Emerson Royal and Micky van de Ven.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both based in north London, and the teams' hatred for one another is legendary.

The fan also claimed he avoided a fine on a technicality, as it was an open training session, not a competitive or exhibition match.

A spokesperson from Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia it is up to the owners of AAMI Park - or Tottenham - if they wish to pursue the matter further.

On the pitch at the MCG on Wednesday night, Postecoglou's Spurs and Newcastle United played out a 1-1 draw in front of 78,419 fans.

After slipping to a 5-4 loss on penalties, many of Tottenham's players flew out on Wednesday night for either national team commitments or a well-earned holiday.

'I thought it was an enormous effort from the players, when you consider the travel we needed to do to get here,' Postecoglou said.

'A lot of them now have a few days off before the Euros [2024 in Germany] or Copa America....and the rest will get their breaks.'

Postecoglou also indicated he will quickly get back to business ahead of next season following a short break.

'It never really stops, that is the reality,' he said.

'But I'll have some time off. My family ... we will go to Greece and switch off for a couple of weeks.'
