Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement with Ajax to sign England U20 goalkeeper Tommy Setford. 

The Gunners are looking to bolster their goalkeeper options after already completing the £27m signing of David Raya from Brentford - after the Spaniard's impressive year on loan at the Emirates. 

It has now been reported by The Athletic, that Arsenal have held talks with Ajax over a move for Setford this summer.

It's said that the talented 18-year-old goalkeeper would join for a fee worth £869,000 plus add-ons, and it's expected he would sign an initial four-year deal. 

Setford has a brother, Charlie, who is also a goalkeeper at Ajax.

Tommy is highly regarded and has risen through the ranks at the Dutch side.

Arsenal released goalkeepers Ovie Ejeheri, James Hillson and Arthur Okonkwo at the end of the recent season.

They have also signed a 18-year-old Danish goalkeeper, Lucas Nygaard, who knew Arsenal coach Inaki Cana during their time together at FC Nordsjaelland. 

Setford is eligible to play for England or the Netherlands, after he was born to an English father and Dutch mother. 

He represented his country in the U17 World Cup last year, where the Three Lions suffered a shock defeat to Uzbekistan in the last-16. 

Meanwhile, there is uncertainty over the future of Aaron Ramsdale at Arsenal, after losing his place to Raya last season. 

Ramsdale, who is part of England's Euro 2024 squad, has been linked with moves away from the club this summer.
