The 2023-24 season has just drawn to a close, with Manchester City claiming their fourth consecutive title in May.

However fans are already eagerly anticipating the 2024-25 seasons and they have one more thing to get excited about as it is almost fixture release day.

This season promises to be yet another one full of drama, twists and unexpected turns as 2016 Premier League winner's Leicester City make their valiant return to England's top flight, having spent one year away in the Championship. 

Ipswich Town and Southampton join the EFL champions in their move to the Premier League, whilst Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta will once again look to battle it out at the top of the table.

While Arne Slot replaces Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout as the Reds look to rival Manchester City and Arsenal. Here is everything you need to know about the 2024-25 Premier League fixture release.

When are the 2024-25 Premier League fixtures released?

All 380 Premier League fixtures will be released at the same time on Tuesday, June 18.

The full fixture released will be unveiled at 9am UK time.  

Last year, Sky Sports also confirmed its opening weekend picks for live coverage at the same time.

Dates and kick-off times for all Premier League fixtures are subject to change as the season goes on.

When does the Premier League season start?

The 2024-25 Premier League season will get underway on Saturday, August 17 2024. 

Which will be exactly 90 days since the 2023-24 Premier League season ended.

This year's season will consist of 33 weekends, four midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday match-week. 

The Premier League has also mentioned that, in a bid to address the "congested schedule across Christmas and New Year," more rest time will be given to sides over three of the festive match rounds, with no club playing within 60 hours of another match.

There will also be no Christmas Eve game this season, unlike in 2023, when Wolves played Chelsea. 

When will the Premier League season end?

The 2024-25 season will finish on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

All 20 teams will be in action that day and all games will kick-off at the same time. 

Will there be a mid-season break?

No, the Premier League have announced that there will be no mid-season break that they have removed it from the calendar.

This has been done to allow a mid-August start date for the League instead. 

The Premier League have said 'This longer summer break allows all Premier League clubs to be better able to ensure that players get a consecutive three-week break in the summer. This takes into account expert advice from medical and technical departments, which values a longer period of complete rest in the summer rather than a short break in the winter.'

International Breaks

So far according to FIFA men's international match calendar, there will be four international breaks sprawled out across the duration of the 2024-24 Premier League season.

Those breaks are scheduled for September 1-9, October 6-14 and November 10-18, 2024 for England's fresh Nations League campaign.

With another break taking place from March 23-31, 2025 as 2026 World Cup qualifying begins.
